What is an Omniglot?

Polyglots and polymaths have been around since time immemorial - humans with an extraordinary ability to communicate fluently in multiple languages and drawn upon wide knowledge and learning. However, there have always been limitations to their capabilities simply because of the boundaries of human ability to learn and capacity to retain. Agentic AI, however, unlocks agents with an indefatigable hunger and ability to learn new languages, tools and applications.

Thus, this new age of AI brings with it the concept of an omniglot agent. Omni- means "all" and -glot refers to languages, tools, and applications. An "omniglot" is an entity who speaks all languages, possesses multiple skills, and has deep knowledge of various domains, along with the ability to utilize many tools.

Some of these enterprise workflows can be quite complex. Ema's action agents are able to connect with all types of applications and workflow systems. An omniglot can speak all languages, whether they are human languages or computer programming languages. This means that it can understand and communicate effectively with people from different functions within an enterprise as well as interact with various coding languages used in software development.
